MLB Troubleshooting Guide

In this guide, we will sum up all the troubleshooting steps that are tested by our support team and reported to be working by our users.

Make sure that your device is set up correctly

Visit your Unlocator account and make sure that you are getting 3 green check-marks.
Please note that you should visit your Unlocator account from the same device that you are using to set up our DNS. Otherwise, you will always get the "Error - Your DNS is not set up correctly" error in your Unlocator account.

Alternatively, if you set up our DNS on your router, then all the devices on your network are using our DNS, therefore, you could use any device connected to that router to make that test.

Verify that our changes were applied to your account

  1. Log into your Unlocator account
  2. Click on the "Region Settings" tab
  3. Scroll down to "MLB / ESPN+"
  4. Select the "MLB" option from the dropdown menu, then click on the "Save" button, even if it was already set to MLB.
  5. Restart your devices and try again.

If you are on a PC or Mac:

On PC:

  1. Please open the program "Command Prompt"
  2. Write the following and hit enter ipconfig /flushdns
  3. Clear your web browser's cache and cookies.
  4. Restart your browser and try again.

On Mac:

  1. Please open the program "Terminal".
  2. Write the following and hit enter.
    sudo dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder;say DNS Cache Flushed
  3. Type in your password when prompted and hit enter. (it will not show any characters while typing your password).
  4. Clear your web browser's cache and cookies.
  5. Restart your browser and try again.
  6. Try using as your primary DNS and go through step 3 again

    If you are using Apple TV, Roku, Xbox360, or Smart TVs:

    1. Uninstall the MLB TV app.
    2. Unplug your device for about 60 seconds then plug it again.
    3. Power up your device and reinstall the MLB TV app.
    4. Login with your account and try again.

    Important Notes:

    MLB TV on Android and iOS

    The MLB app for iPad, iPhone, iPod and Android (including Fire TV and Fire Stick) is not supported by Unlocator. This is due to the fact that It’s mandatory to have location services enabled, which includes GPS data.

    Apple TV 1st and 2nd generations

    Kindly note that the app has been officially discontinued on Apple TV 1st and 2nd generations. It is only available on the 4th generation of the Apple TV or above. Please keep in mind that this change was implemented by MLB, and is therefore out of our control.

    Please note that while MLB does not officially support the 1st and 2nd generations of Apple TV, you might still be able to get access to their content. However, due to technicalities, we cannot guarantee that the service will permanently work as intended.

    Do not use MLB TV on any unsupported devices!

    Please note that we extremely advise against using or attempting to use MLB on devices that we do not support, as MLB has suspended and even banned other users for doing that.
