How to Set Up Nexus Player

Before starting the guide you need to find the IP of your router and find the IP range used by your router for providing IP addresses to connected devices. We need this info to set up the static IP on the Nexus Player. Please see this guide for finding the router IP. You will also be able to see the IP range used for devices.
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Network
  3. Select WiFi
  4. Select the network you are connected to
  5. Select Advanced Options
  6. Select IP Settings
  7. Select Static
  8. Set IP to a valid IP from your home network.
  9. Set Gateway to the IP of your router. Please see info in the beginning of this article
  10. Set Prefix 24
  11. Set DNS 1 to 185.37.37.37
  12. Set DNS 2 to 185.37.39.39
  13. Press next - restart device

Installing US or UK apps on your Nexus Player

  1. Create a UK or US Google Account. https://accounts.google.com/SignUp?hl=en
  2. Log in to the Google account on the Nexus Player.
  3. Go to Region Settings in your Unlocator account.
  4. Scroll Down to the Nexus Player under Device App Store Locations.
  5. Select the region you want to get apps from. Default is US. Press update location.
  6. Restart the Nexus Player.
  7. Open the Play Store and you now have the apps from your selected region.

​Important

First step of troubleshooting should always be to restart device(s) and router. Then check your account status in your account home. You should always see 3 green check marks if the device you are using to visit the account home is set up correctly.

  1. Verify that your device or connected router is using Unlocator.
  2. Restart device and router.
  3. Check your account status from a computer or device that is connected to Unlocator by visiting your account home.
  4. If the above steps don’t work please contact support describing your issue and steps taken to fix it.

How to Format an IP Address

Some devices require you to use 3 digits pr. decimal when setting a DNS. You can format our DNS in the following ways:
