How to Create an Account With an American Streaming Service that Requires a US Credit Card

Wow that is a long title but it sums up the issue pretty well. Many American streaming services like Hulu, Fubu etc require American credit cards to sign up. So what do you do if you don't have such a card?

Create a Virtual Credit Card

Get a virtual credit card from States Card. Once signed up you get credit card details for your own virtual card with origin country set to the US.

From there on you can either sign yup with the credit card directly with the streaming services. Alternatively you can create an Apple ID with location set to the US. Then add the virtual credit card to your Apple ID and now you can start subscriptions from your Apple device.

The last approach might be needed if the streaming service is still stubborn with accepting the virtual card. However, it's very rare to experience this.

Disclaimer: To be transparent we are an affiliate of States card and get a commission for each referred customer. That said it's a great service that solves this part of the puzzle when streaming US streaming services from abroad.
