I Can't Connect to The Internet While Connected to The VPN
If your device is connected to Unlocator VPN but you cannot access the internet, which means that you cannot even access not blocked websites in your region, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Download the Unlocator VPN's latest version.
Sometimes you may face internet issues if you don't have the updated VPN version. If you're using the Unlocator VPN app, quite the app and uninstall it. Then refer to our VPN apps web page to download the Unlocator VPN's latest version.
Connect to other Unlocator VPN servers locations.
Try connecting to other VPN servers locations and check if you face the same issues. If you can access the internet when connected to a different server location, there may be a temporary issue with the server location you originally selected. Please contact us about the issue and continue to use the internet in the meantime.
Change your VPN protocol.
You may have a better connection experience once you change the VPN protocol. VPN protocols are the methods by which your device connects to a VPN server.
You'll see different VPN protocols according to the device you're using the VPN app on. You can find these protocols in the app's settings. We always advice using OpenVPN protocol, OpenVPN offers the most secure connection option at the moment without sacrificing performance and speed. It offers up to 256-bit encryption. When used in its default UDP mode, OpenVPN provides the best performance.
Try manual Unlocator VPN setup.
Sometimes the connection issue is over the app level only, instead, you can try the manual VPN setup. You can find there the instructions on how to set up the VPN on your devices with different protocols.
Note: L2TP/IPSec provides weak security benefits and should only be used for anonymization or for changing locations.
